Film Pitch

 Film Pitch

Film pitch is the presented idea for a film or TV show. The pitch is normally made by the director or the screenwriter which is shown to the producer. Using a film pitch is a way of selling your idea to the producers to convince them that its a good enough idea to be produced and shown in cinema's and also general TV. This will also help the director gain a fund for the whole idea. A Pitch should involve:
  • Synopsis
  • Screenplay sample (not always necessary)
  • Selling points
  • Budget
  • Cast/Crew team
  • Mini footage (Not always necessary)
  • Genre
These are the main points that the producer will be taking most interest in:
  • Cast/Crew Team
  • Budget
  • The inspired film
  • Genre
  • How it will be marketed

If your pitch idea takes up an amount of time this will be a huge disadvantage for the producers. Your pitch should be an unique idea and presented in a way to catch the producers interest.
