A freelancer is someone who is self employed. Freelancers are often hired from different companies to produce a certain service that the freelancer specializes in. Being a freelancer gives you the advantage of being your own boss, which means you work when you want, however this could also mean working alone which could come across stressing because you'll be working alone.

You also have the ability to work from home, or office base depending on your choice. You can also advertise yourself to companies for example creating your own business cards.

Working as a freelancer is not as good and free as it may come across. Freelancers don' often get work which means they can go months without working until they are contacted. They are also in charged of the finance, paperwork etc.
