BBC Research

The BBC is a public broadcasting company. The BBC is the most watched channel in the UK. BBC was founded on the 18th of October 1922 bye John Rieth and George Villiers.



BBC is the largest broadcaster, with up to 23,000 members of staff. The BBC's income comes through the viewers paying TV license the reason for this is because the BBC channel doesn't produce adverts they use idents instead which all channels have. The BBC also broadcast a number of radio stations. There are over 30 channels owned by the BBC, some of these channels are based online for example: BBC iplayer which is where viewers can can catch up on shows that they've missed. The BBC produces from different sectors, they produce channels that are suitable for kids, documentaries etc.
