Review Report

For this project I had to plan and create and video profile of myself. During this project I set myself daily and also weekly targets for myself and strategies on how to achieve them.

Targets that I set myself were steps towards completing my video profile. These targets included research, script writing, reviews, filming and editing. In order for me to complete and achieve these targets, I followed the strategies. Using these strategies was very helpful and helped me focus on completing my project. The main strategies that I used was planning out on how I manage my time and how it can be improve to help me focus on achieving my targets. To continue, I also wrote a short review at the end of  my lesson explaining  how I met my target, what went well, if I met my set target and what changes could be made for next time.  At the end of each lesson I would set myself a new target. Overall, I am happy and satisfied with the targets that I set myself throughout the whole project and also with the strategies I used. 

I have taught myself how to work more independently and develop different ideas. I also learnt how to distance my distractions and my weaknesses. I also spent more time in my spare time to complete and finished coursework. I also created a table in my learning log that helped me focus on my time management on a weekly basis, this is where I had to space out what I do each day within a certain time. I also gained new editing skill that is a really good skill to gain and I enjoyed using these new gained skills in my video profile.

To continue, as a learner having the ability to use different software and helpful facilities motivates me more. This is because it helps me gain extra skills each time I use the facilities and also gaining knowledge. The fact of doing different projects and working with different people is also motivation for me. This helps get idea’s together, gain more knowledge about different things and also have more confidence within teamwork so that’s another motivation for me as a learner. It is just the fact of studying media as I have a really big passion for the subject so that will be a complete motivation. My frustrations as a learner is most likely to be my confidant as I don’t have as much as I should which could be frustrating for both me and people I work with. Also coming across challenges that I will have to face and learning to deal with them.

In future, I plan to keep more focus and not get distracted. I also plan to be more organised in my filming as I spent too much time filming, which delayed my editing time. Moving on, I will try to stick to my shooting script and not make any changes as this made a few things complicated and difficult. I will plan to get more feedback from classmates so that I am able to see any changes that need to made and take note of the things that worked well, by doing this I will be able to know what and what not to do for my next project.

Overall I enjoyed working on this project and it has helped me with different learning strategies and methods that I will be using in further projects. It also help me gain new skills and challenges that I haven’t come across and will be prepared for in future and also and in further projects.
