Clay Animation Evaluation

This is a clay animation called 'The Rap Battle'.

Evaluation

For this project we worked in groups,either pairs or groups of three. In my group I worked with Imran and Ashfaq. We create an clay animation which is inspired and similar to the kids TV show called 'Morph'. Firstly we done a class activity. This activity helped us design and create characters with super powers that we'd use in our animation. After this stage was completed we then separated into our groups to plan our storyline which we then made into a story board were we drew each scene and wrote a description of what was happening in the scene . Our animation is called 'The rap Battle'. During this project I have gained skills such as using clay to create objects and characters. I have also learnt how to use iStop motion software,using this software was interesting and easy to use and suitable especially for our animation. Once our animation was completed we then edited it using final cut pro. During this process we cut out unwanted footage and also added audio. I found this part of the project easy,this is because I've used final cut pro before in previous projects.

To continue,things that worked well is the planning this is because we all contributed with all our different ideas to help build up the storyline. Also, making the characters and objects using the clay.
Things that didn't work that well is the recording due to the fact that it was difficult to keep the webcam steady and set into a position that was needed. Also we took another of time to create our storyline because we couldn't decide on a character role for my character so that was time consuming. Also our animation last up to 40seconds which was shorter than we planned it to be.
If I was to personally change anything about the animation it will be the storyline,I would make the storyline a bit longer.

Overall our animation went well and we also worked well as a group.
